Our Story
When families receive an autism diagnosis, the journey can feel overwhelming. Support during the school years is often strong. After age 21, it can feel uncertain. Unending Promise was created to ensure that individuals with autism and their families continue to have meaningful opportunities, reliable information, and a supportive community throughout adulthood.

A Promise That Grew into Community
When my son Adam was born, I whispered, “I will love you forever.” Years later, when he was diagnosed with autism, that promise deepened. It became not only a promise of love, but a commitment to advocacy and action.
As Adam grew, I began thinking about what adulthood would look like, not only for him, but for so many individuals and families navigating similar paths. Support during the school years can be strong. After graduation, families often find themselves searching for connection, opportunity, and community.
In 2012, Unending Promise began as a response to that need.
What started as one mother’s effort to create something helpful has grown into something far greater than any one person. Over the years, UP has become a place where families connect, friendships form, and opportunities open doors. We have watched individuals gain confidence, try new experiences, and discover community. We have seen families find information that changed their direction and strengthened their relationships.
UP is not about one family. It is not about one story. It is about a growing community built by many hands and many hearts.
Today, Adam is 24. Like many young adults, he continues to navigate adulthood in his own way. His journey remains part of my story, but Unending Promise exists for every individual and family seeking connection, opportunity, and belonging.
We do not claim to be the answer to everything. We simply strive to be a place where people feel welcome, supported, and encouraged. If someone finds value here, if a connection is made, if an opportunity opens, then we know we are doing something right.
